8 MAN KAT1 for a forestry company in Cameroon
A forestry company based in the Eastern Province of Cameroon ordered 8 all-terrain MAN KAT1 trucks for its skidding and log transport operations.

Context
The dense forest of Eastern Cameroon imposes extreme operating conditions: waterlogged tracks in the rainy season, steep gradients, and heavy loads (logs of 10 to 20 tonnes). Our client needed vehicles capable of towing log trailers on unmade forest roads.
Selected vehicles
5 MAN KAT1 8×8 (heavy carrier, GVW 26 tonnes, D2530 290 hp engine) and 3 MAN KAT1 6×6 (mid-size version), all from the German Bundeswehr. These vehicles are well-known in the African forestry sector for their exceptional reliability in difficult terrain and spare parts availability.
Each unit was:
- ▸Fully overhauled (engine, transfer box, axles)
- ▸Fitted with a front winch (5 of the 8 units)
- ▸Repainted in industrial green to client's specification
- ▸Delivered with a one-year spare parts kit (filters, belts, brake pads)
